TRL9 Space Heritage

REMRED Ltd. is a spin-off founded by one of the pioneer Hungarian space research groups with 50 years of relevant experience. At the establishment, almost 50 years of space research related engineering experience were transferred into our company to support future space science activities in Hungary. Our company has been already gained space flight heritage (TRL9 heritage) in design and development, production and verification of small space equipment. Here we provide a brief summary of space heritage missions:

  • TRITEL 3-dimensonal silicon detector telescope design modifications, production and verification for the following mission:
    • ESEO-TRITEL on board the ESEO SmallSat in LEO (launched in Q4 2018)
  • Pille space dosimeter system production and verification for the following mission:
    • Pille-MKS mission on board the Russian Segment of ISS (launched in Q2 2018)

In addition, engineers in the company has significant relevant space research experience (in interplanetary missions as well). An extracted list of TRL9 flight heritage projects related to our engineering team experience is given here:

  • Plasmag charged particle analyser flying on the Soviet VEGA 1 and VEGA 2 spacecraft to Comet Halley
  • HARP charged particle analyser on the Soviet Phobos 1 and Phobos 2 probes to Phobos
  • TAUS charged particle spectrometer on the Soviet Phobos 1 and Phobos 2 probes to Phobos
  • High voltage unit of the Simple Plasma Monitor (ROMAP/SPM) flying on ESA's Rosetta/Philae lander to comet 67P/ Churyumov Gerasimenko
  • Detector of the Dust Impact Monitor (SESAME/DIM) on ESA’s Rosetta /Philae lander to comet Churyumov Gerasimenko
  • ISS Dosimetry Service System contributions (TRITEL, Pille)
  • Sounding rocket and stratospheric balloon experiments (REXUS/BEXUS)
