3-Dimensional Space Dosimetry Telescope

The development of the TRITEL 3D Space Dosimetry Telescope began in Hungary several years ago to measure radiation in space for dosimetric purposes. The technology makes analysis of current ESEO SmallSat research of the anisotropies in the radiation field, the effects of the Earth shadow, the South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA), and many more radiation-related tasks of the future possible. The system’s benefit is its high level of comparability with past, current, and future results. TRITEL is operating onboard the European Columbus module of the International Space Station (ISS) and will be installed in the Russian segment of the ISS, as well as participating in future Moon and Mars missions.

Portable TL Space Dosimeter System

The technology is utilized for routine and extravehicular activity (EVA), individual dosimetry service for astronauts, and onboard outer-space experiments. The PILLE system is unique in its continuous operation to monitor dose data right on board the space station, a feature that becomes increasingly important for current and future space missions. Data read-out can be set up based on research or health management purposes.

Herigate

The PILLE dosimeter system developed in Hungary, consisting of unique bulb dosimeters and a compact reader, has been continuously operating onboard the International Space Station (ISS) since October 2003 but its early adaptations have been serving humanity for more than three decades.
