Description

We are looking for an FPGA Verification and Validation Engineer for our Budapest office to make our team even stronger.
As an FPGA Verification and Validation Engineer, you will simulate and test embedded FPGA firmware for a variety of applications including subsystem command and data handling, low-level hardware control, automation, custom and high-speed interfaces. Debug test failures on emulation and FPGA systems. Release models and support any issues.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop verification and validation plans, test benches to ensure code/functional coverage
  • Analysis of industry specifications, roadmap requirements, breakdown tasks and help implement the project plans
  • Review the design code/functional coverage
  • Participate in the following activities: requirements definition, analysis and decomposition, support system-level architecture definition and firmware design
  • Perform design reviews, code reviews, unit and system testing and writing of technical documentation, tests, assertions, and functional coverage
  • Perform full firmware life cycle functions including requirements, architecture, design, code, simulation, test, integration, documentation and support

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • 5+ years experience with FPGA validation and verification
  • Comprehensive knowledge in Verilog/VHDL programming and simulation
  • Some IP Protocol knowledge
  • Block, subsystem and system level verification concepts and methodologies (VHDL based: OSVVM, UVVM, etc.)
  • Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
  • Ability to think on system-level, working in more than one discipline
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • Fluent in English

Considered
a Plus

  • Python, Bash scripting experience
  • Experience with any embedded RTOS
  • Knowledge of ISO and/or ECSS standards
  • Experience in firmware quality management techniques
